Melolontha (Melolontha) excisicauda Balthasar, 1936

The species was known only from the type series collected in Lebanon (Djezin, see photo of paratype below), but it has been found in April 2008 by A.Kairuz in Lebanon (Caza Akkar, Fnaideq).

The images below provde confirmations and further elements to clarify the morphology of this localized species. The lateral projection of the paramera shows some differences with the draw of the edeagues of the paratipus provided by D.Keith.
